Avoid today; tensions run high at home.
Moon in your 2nd house stirs family and finances uneasily. Mars and Jupiter in your 1st house affect mood and health. Venus and Mercury in the 4th house offer some comfort in home matters, but overall energy is low. In-laws may require patience today.
Why don’t Cancer relatives ever leave after a visit? Because they bring the whole kitchen with them!

Karka (Cancer) is the fourth rasi of the Vedic zodiac; as a moon sign, it describes people born when the Moon was placed in this sign. It is ruled by the Moon (Chandra) itself, belongs to the Water element and is a movable (chara) sign, symbolised by the Crab. Traditionally, people born with the Moon in Karka are said to be caring, intuitive, emotionally deep and strongly attached to home, family and mother. Like the crab, they can seem guarded on the outside while being very sensitive within, and their moods may rise and fall like the tides.
Strengths
- A deeply caring, nurturing nature
- Strong intuition and emotional understanding
- Loyalty to family and close friends
- Good memory and respect for tradition
- Imagination and creativity
Challenges
- Mood swings and emotional sensitivity
- Holding on to past hurts
- Over-attachment and worry about loved ones
- Withdrawing into their shell instead of speaking up
Career
Traditionally, Karka natives are said to do best in work where care, trust and emotional intelligence matter. Fields associated with this Moon-ruled water sign include nursing and caregiving, teaching, hospitality and food, real estate and home-related businesses, counselling, history and social work.
Love & marriage
People with the Moon in Karka are said to be devoted, protective partners who build a warm home and value emotional security above all, though they may need to avoid clinging or sulking when hurt. Makara, the opposite sign, is traditionally seen as the partner sign, while fellow water signs Vrischika and Meena are considered harmonious matches.
Health
Traditionally, Karka is linked with the chest and stomach. Regular meals at calm times, time near water or in nature, and a habit of sharing feelings rather than bottling them up are widely followed ways to support wellbeing for this sign.
